<VirtualHost> directive

Description:	Group directives that will be applied to specific IP address or host name
Syntax:	<VirtualHost addr[:port] [addr[:port]] ...> ... </VirtualHost>
Context:	server config

 

<VirtualHost> ... </VirtualHost> tag is used to group directives that will apply to specific virtual host.

Possible values for addr are:

• Specific IP address;
• Fully qualified domain name;
• The character '*' to match any host or any port number for specific host.

Example:

RewriteEngine off AllowOverride none <VirtualHost onesite.com www.onesite.com> RewriteEngine on AllowOverride all </VirtualHost>

Don't forget to include RewriteEngine on directive in every <VirtualHost> tag or enclosed rules will not be applied.
